The Vision

Organic Discipleship - A Strategy for Discipling A City.                     Draft2
Introduction
     God has given me a strategy for reaching a city, region, and a nation. Believers in Jesus often gather in Christian enclaves spending countless hours involved with church matters, and only occasionally venture out in the community to engage those of the world.
    Jesus spent much of his time in the society teaching, preaching, healing and ministering to people's needs. He took his disciples with him when he ministered, and taught them on the go. The center of His life was Organic Discipleship - A Strategy for Discipling A City, region, even nations. This was the plan that enabled him to establish His Church. Jesus emphasis was not upon the Church Structure but upon the work of proclaiming The Kingdom and validating it with signs, wonders, and miracles.

Rationale for The Strategy
     A Lesson from the kitchen can be learned from trying to dissolve a lump of rock sugar and an equal amount of granulated sugar.  The granulated sugar dissolves faster than the solid lump. Why? Because smaller particles have a greater surface area than the one solid lump. This allows the granulated sugar to have a larger interface with the water than the sugar lump.
     Our Church communities are like the lumps of sugar having very little contact with the unsaved unless a few wander into our service.

The Strategy
     The vision that I have is, that like the small grains of granulated sugar, the church members break themselves into very small groups that would hang out at community locations like Starbucks and Panera Bread, sipping a Latte', looking for opportunities to be friendly and loving to the folks there. If we did this on a regular basis at a certain time, we would soon get to know the regular patrons. From these contacts, conversations and opportunities for ministry will quickly present themselves. Here is an opportunity for believers to create an interface between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of this World so that the World would have an authentic encounter with Jesus through one of his sons.

Implementation
     This plan presuppose that the leaders have already trained disciples who know their identity as mature sons and so are able to heal the sick and give a witness of who Jesus is, and to preach the Gospel. Today, there are many ordinary folks healing people on the streets.      Begin by establishing a new personal routine that includes an hour for relaxing at your favorite "watering hole" that fits your schedule. Be faithful to the time commitment. You will soon get to know folks. Engage them naturally in conversation, not being pushy. Soon you will be given opportunities for ministry.
